Welcome to Telekyanmar Online Charity Clinic.

A free-of-charge telemedicine platform established under the supervision of the National Unity Government of Myanmar. We are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of Myanmar, accessible to healthcare at your fingertips.

We aim to deliver best healthcare services to the people of Myanmar, enhance the broader federal health system, and elevate health literacy.

Our team comprises skilled healthcare providers and doctors from Myanmar, both domestically and internally. We try to meet the demand by broadening our services beyond general treatment to encompass specialist clinics and mental health clinics as well.

Patients can easily access a qualified healthcare system with fewer barriers by using technology, circumventing the need to wait for long periods or visit physical facilities.

Overall Services

Telekyanmar provides comprehensive telemedicine services across Myanmar through a network of over 350 dedicated volunteers. The program offers primary care, specialty, dental, HIV, TB, and mental health services, along with suicide prevention hotlines and a strong health promotion program that delivers educational content through social media and digital platforms. It also ensures continuous quality improvement through regular CME sessions, audits, and community feedback to provide safe, accessible, and people-centered care.

Customer Service Team

The Social Media Customer Service Team, made up of over 40 enthusiastic volunteers, assists and guides people who contact us via Facebook Messenger and Telegram to access the telemedicine services they need. The team also supports health education by answering questions and providing accurate information through direct Q&A responses. They operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., serving patients across Myanmar and Myanmar people around the world.

Zero Suicide Hotline

The Zero Suicide Hotline is an initiative focused on suicide prevention through hotline services, where trained volunteers provide empathetic listening, psychosocial support, and referrals to necessary resources, including mental health services such as psychiatrist clinics at Telekyanmar. The Zero Suicide Hotline team is composed of more than 35 volunteers and 6 supervisors, operating daily through Telegram.

Primary Clinics

We provide primary health care telemedicine services through 13 Primary Health Clinics, operating daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the support of more than 130 Medical volunteers. These services include Primary Health Clinics, Dental Clinics, an HIV Clinic, and a Tuberculosis Clinic. Together, our telemedicine clinics serve nearly 80 patients each day.

Primary mental Health Clinics

Primary Mental Health Clinics are operated by well-trained medical doctors who provide primary mental health services, including initial mental health assessments, counselling, treatment for common mental health conditions, and referrals to psychiatrists. These clinics are supported by more than 30 medical volunteers.

Specialist clinics

More than 25 specialty clinics, operated by over 90 experienced specialists, run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. These include Mental Health, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Neurology Clinics. The specialist clinics serve over 20 patients per day, with the highest demand in Psychiatry, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology services.

Health Promotion Services

The Health Promotion Team is composed of content creators, editors, designers, coordinators, narrators, and ethnic or local language experts who work together to deliver health education messages and videos through Telekyanmar’s Facebook, YouTube, website, telegram and Instagram channels. The team consists of 27 volunteers with expertise across various areas of content production. The Health Promotion Team posts more than 150 educational materials on the Facebook page and produces around 4 videos each month. In addition, all health education posts are systematically listed and catalogued on the website.

Capacity Development and Continued Medical Education

The Quality Assurance and Program Support Team is responsible for monitoring service quality and effectiveness, overseeing clinical treatment standards, supporting program implementation, and ensuring that online telemedicine clinics operate efficiently. To promote continuous medical education and professional development for Telekyanmar volunteers, the Quality Assurance Team organizes regular CME sessions with the support of diaspora and specialist professionals. In addition, the team conducts departmental audits, satisfaction surveys, and community feedback activities to strengthen overall service quality.

  • Reached: Telekyanmar's Facebook page has reached 10 million audiences over the past 2 years with our innovative health promotion approaches.
  • Research : Publish a mental health service related paper at APA conference 2023.

Patients from 319 townships within Myanmar have visited Telekyanmar. The geographical coverage of Telekyanmar extends beyond Myanmar to (31) countries as any Myanmar with internet access can seek health care advice from Telekyanmar.
